Denise Keele-bedford has been travelling to China and Beijing since 2002. She had her first residency with Red Gate Gallery in 2003 when she was introduced to the lively contemporary art scene of Beijing.

Now, with her own studio at Suo Jia Cun in the North East of Beijing, Denise continues her art practice in China including participating with Chinese and International artists’ exhibitions, other art related activities, and coordinating exhibitions.

Currently, Denise is coordinating an exhibition to be opened by Australian Ambassador Geoff Raby at Imagine Gallery on Sunday March 8th, in celebration of International Women’s Day.

In the following radio interview, Denise talks about her experiences in coming to China and Beijing, the people, locations, artists and exhibition involvement.
